Dear Friends and Patrons,

After careful consultation with local town officials, aquatics professionals, health professionals, pool members, staff, and board members, due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have made the difficult decision to keep our doors closed for the 2020 summer season.

This is the first time we have not opened in the Swim Center’s half-century history.

We have explored several options and scenarios to manage both the financial and operational implications of the COVID-19 precautions and guidelines. We have been unsuccessful in finding realistic solutions for distancing measures, swimmer safety, staff safety, financial solvency, and family fun.

Please know that this was an extremely difficult decision and one that we have labored over for weeks.

Despite this unfortunate situation we remain committed to our CPC initiative and rehabilitation of the club house, new filtration system, and snack shack. You will be pleased to know that we have expanded our footprint and are in the last phase of expanding our outdoor enclosure. Come check it out!

Specific to the fundraising campaign, we hope you will consider committing your 2020 summer membership fees to this effort. More funds are needed this summer to continue making meaningful updates that will impact our center for the next 50 years. Please visit our Home Page and Capital Funds tab at CohassetSwimCenter.com for more details.

Thanks for your understanding — we look forward to continued progress on this project and our 2021 summer season.
