SWIM LESSONS
We believe every child should learn to swim. Our six-level instructional approach helps swimmers of all ages and abilities develop swimming and water safety skills. It is designed to give students a positive learning experience and to help them be safe in and around the water.
2025 SCHEDULE AND PRICING
SESSION I: June 30 - July 18
SESSION II: July 21 - August 8
2025 LESSON TIMES:
Pre-K (3 and 4 year olds) - 6 lessons for three weeks
Monday and Wednesdays 10:00 - 10:30 AM
Pre-K (4 and 5 year olds) - 6 lessons for three weeks
Tuesday and Thursdays 10:00 - 10:30 AM
Levels 1 through 5 - Monday through Thursday for three weeks
Level I - Beginner - 8:00 - 8:30 AM & 9:30 - 10:00 AM
Level 2 - Intermediate - 8:00 - 8:30 AM & 9:30 - 10:00 AM
Level 3 - Stroke Development - 9:30 - 10:00 AM
Level 4 - Stroke Improvement - 9:30 - 10:00 AM
Level 5 - Stroke Refinement - 8:45 - 9:30 AM
COST (per session)
Pre-K (6 total lessons) = $90 per session
Level 1 through Level 5 (12 total lessons) = $180 per session
NOTE: You do not need a current family membership to register for swim lessons, but having one is highly recommended to enjoy full access to our facility from June through September.

Pre-K Swim Lessons
For ages 3 to 5 years old. The objective of this class is to help the child feel comfortable in the water and work on skills that are age appropriate to their physical development.
Level 1 - Beginner Level
Child must be 5 years of age or older. The objective of this class is to help the child feel comfortable in the water. Skills introduced will be: water adjustment, breath control, buoyancy, entering/exiting water, front/back kicking with support, and using arm strokes for short distances. No flotation device will be used. No Prerequisite skills required.
Level 2 - Intermediate
Must have passed Level 1 - safely swimming without a flotation device. New skills learned include front and back glide, rollovers, and swimming on the side. In addition, treading water using arm and leg motions
Level 3 - Stroke Development
Must have passed Level 2. New skills learned include front and back crawl along with the butterfly kick and body motion. In addition, diving from kneeling or standing position.
Level 4 - Stroke Improvement
Must have passed Level 3. New skills learned include freestyle and backstroke development, begin learning the breastroke and butterfly. Front and back crawl
Level 5 - Stroke Refinement
Must have passed level 4. Continue working skills such as a standing dive, a shallow dive, gliding two body lengths and begin any front stroke, and flip turn work.

Child must be five years of age or older.
The objective of this class is to help the child feel comfortable in the water. Skills introduced will be: water adjustment, breath control, buoyancy, entering/exiting water, front/back kicking with support, and using arm strokes for short distances. No floatation device will be used.
No Prerequisite skills required.
- Enter and exit water safely
- Submerge mouth, nose and eyes
- Exhale underwater through mouth and nose
- Open eyes underwater, pick up submerged object
- Float on front and back
- Explore arm and hand movements
- Swim on front and back using arm and leg actions
- Follow basic water safety rules -
Must be able to perform Level 1 skills
Skills:
- Enter water by stepping or jumping from the side
- Exit water safely using ladder or side
- Submerge entire head
- Open eyes underwater, pick up a submerged object
- Float on front and back
- Perform front and back glide
- Roll over from front to back, back to front
- Swim on side
- Swim on front and back using combined strokes
- Tread water using arm and leg motions -
Must be able to perform Level 2 skills
Skills:
- Jump into deep water from the side
- Dive from kneeling or standing position
- Submerge and retrieve an object
- Bob with the head fully submerged
- Use rotary breathing in horizontal position
- Perform front and back glide
- Perform survival float
- Perform front and back crawl
- Butterfly – kick and body motion -
Must be able to perform Level 3 skills
Skills:
- Perform shallow dive or dive from stride position
- Swim underwater
- Perform feet-first surface dive
- Perform open turns on front and back using any stroke
- Tread water using sculling arm motions and kick
- Perform the following:
- Front and back crawl
- Breaststroke
- Butterfly
- Elementary backstroke
- Swim on side using scissors-like kick
- Use safe diving rules
- Perform a throwing assist
- Care for conscious choking victim -
Must be able to perform Level 4 skills
Skills:
-Tread water with two different kicks
-Learn survival swimming
-Safety – Reach or Throw, Don’t Go
-Perform the following:
Standing dive
Shallow dive, glide two body lengths and begin any front stroke
Front flip turn
Backstroke flip turn
